    It was recently National Chicken Wing Day, and I had to celebrate at Vons. We decided to get their Snow and Garlic wings, and these flavors are unique and delicious. The Snow seasoning is perfect for those who love cheese and onion flavors. It's quite a combination, but it works! The Garlic wings were also fantastic, packed with flavor without being too garlicky. The wings at Vons are always spot on. They're hot, juicy, and crispy. In fact, when we're in the mood for wings, Vons is our go to place. Their selection is impressive, with fried and oven roasted wings. The service is also good, it took about 15 mins for my order of wings to be ready. So if you're looking for some tasty wings in town, be sure to check out Vons.

    Vons Chicken - When you crave that crispy, crunchy goodness in your life, this place delivers the standard KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) experience you're after. It's usually a quick 15-minute wait from order to pick up, and the satisfaction is guaranteed. Personally, I'm all about the Snow Wing - it's the flavor champion, in my book.

    The Von's I usually order from was closed, so I got delivery from this location for the first time. The snow wings were soul-satisfying, as they always have been. It's good to find consistency of quality in different franchise locations. I continue to yearn for just a bit more cheese, though. But then they lost me with the mandoo. There was no option for "no sauce," just "regular," "mild," and " spicy." I didn't want any sauce but selected mild. They took great care to vent the container so the mandoo wouldn't get limp and soggy. Then they completely undermined that effort. Foolish me for assuming the sauce would be on the side. Instead, the mandoo were drenched in this sickly sticky and slightly sweet sauce. My taste buds were not amused. I don't care for them but I won't waste food, either. Should I order mandoo from here again, I will write in a special request for NO SAUCE.

    Whenever my hubby and I crave chicken wings, our thoughts go to Vons Chicken. Now, there are several locations in town, and just as a point of information, the pricing varies from location to location. We go to this location because, between the one in Waikiki, the location in Palama Market off Kalakaua, and this one, the location on Pensacola Street, is the lowest priced. It's one of our favorite items for tailgates. I gave this location 4 stars because parking is a challenge, and sometimes the person who answers the phone when we call in an order sounds like it's a hassle to take the order. With that said, we still love the wings, and honestly, anywhere you go, wings can be pretty pricey. So we have tried several different flavors, but our fav is the crispy shoyu chicken. Now, it is crisp, not your local-style plate lunch shoyu chicken. You've got to try it to understand the difference. It is finger-licking, lip-smacking good! The location is no-frills, so don't expect anything fancy. There is no sitting area, and parking can be a challenge. It is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that is worth a try.
